The Perfect Divorce - Jeneva Rose
Jeneva Rose does it again! The Perfect Divorce is a juicy, fast-paced follow-up that delivers everything I’ve come to expect from her thrillers—sex, secrets, and twists galore. If you loved The Perfect Marriage, buckle up, because this sequel turns up the drama and doubles the deception.
The audiobook production was top-notch, with a strong cast that brought every messy moment to life (though I’ll admit, one accent threw me off a bit). Still, I devoured it—popcorn thriller perfection! Sarah Morgan is back, and when fresh DNA evidence reopens her ex-husband’s old murder case, the past refuses to stay buried.
Thanks to @blackstonepublishing and @netgalley for the early listen. The Perfect Divorce hits shelves April 15—add it to your list now if you love your thrillers sharp, scandalous, and seriously fun.

Wow. I got an advanced copy today and finished work early just to start it. And finished it! It was so good!! A really great thriller with lots of twists and a great ending. I’d say even better than The Perfect Marriage! Love Sarah Morgan, such a badass. Just when you think you know what’s going to happen then bam you’re wrong. Love it! Will be re-reading both together when it releases. Ps. Read in order!!
Also the audio was so amazing with the voices it really helped you picture each character!! Loved that.
Thanks to NetGalley for my early copy.

Okay, this had great narration and an interesting plot and twists -- but man, one of the characters is so bad I think you either have to hate her or admire her. It would have helped if I read the first one because it would have put me into this world quicker. This is a great book for people who love drama and consequences.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this audiobook

“A view is only a view until you stop appreciating it and eventually we all do.”
“You’re right about that Bob because you can’t cheat on an ex-wife.”
“Sorry, it was an accident.” 🔪🩸
“I love that my crypt keeper of a mother-in-law is continuing to screw with me after all of these years.”
“That’s unfortunate were you looking to hookup again?” 😂😂😂
“If anyone can best Sarah, it’s me.”
Thanks to @blackstonepublishing and @jenevaroseauthor for my #gifted copy of this audiobook. It’ll keep me satiated while I await both of my #preorders 🫣
As with all Jeneva Rose books I was immediately sucked in and should not have started it at 10pm because I had to wake up and adult the next day. I did end up finishing it in <24 hours though. 😬
In this latest JR follow-up to 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲, Adam is long gone 🪦 and Sarah is just trying to life her best life. She is now remarried with a daughter (Summer). Unfortunately her new husband Bob Miller finds himself in her crosshairs after a drunken 1-night-stand. Bob has made a fatal mistake of cheating on Sarah and she’s going to be sure that discretion is in fact limited to one night.
However, Bob proves to be a more worthy adversary than Adam was when it comes to Sarah’s level of FAAFO (F___ around and find out). Bob and Sarah are both planning to win at this game or cat & mouse no matter the cost.
The audio cast was so fun and whoever did the narration for Bob made him even more unlikable for me.
The pacing was good and kept me entertained from start to finish. Eeeek I get to meet Jeneva & Drew in April!!!

lol, this was fun!! I loved the previous- THE PERFECT MARRIAGE and I was tempted to reread it but didn’t since I couldn’t find audio available. This was a fun cat and mouse game between the spouses and I’m happy to see who won out!

4.5 stars rounded up. I really liked that this audiobook had multiple narrators, it helped me keep track of the story. There was one narrator that I wasn't the biggest fan of just because the accent sometimes annoyed me, thankfully that didn't really take away my enjoyment of the book. I flew through this one, it was an easy 2x speed and I finished it over a busy weekend. In typical Jeneva Rose fashion, there are some huge, jaw dropping twists. I did happen to figure most of them out but I think they were well hinted at throughout. I still think I liked the first one better, since I really didn't see anything coming in that one and the sequel was a bit more predictable to me. If you're a fan of Jeneva's or a fan of fast twisty thrillers, make sure to check this duology (potential series?....) out!
Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I DNFd The Perfect Marriage and a few of her other books, but then really liked Home Is Where the Bodies Are, so when this popped up on NetGalley and I was in the market for an audiobook… sold!
This was a perfect rainy day, sitting on my couch, knitting audiobook. Narrators were all good (though the one doing Bob wasn’t my favorite), things clipped along, and it was entertaining enough that I stayed up later than I should have so I could finish listening. I think anyone who already likes Jeneva Rose will like this one - and people (me) who weren’t her biggest fans could also find themselves pleasantly surprised! Do make sure you’ve read TPM (or at least do a quick search for a spoiler review) or this won’t make a ton of sense.

I listened to the audiobook and really liked it. The different narrators were great! It’s a tad predictable but still a good listen. Did we need a sequel? No, but it didn’t disappoint like some sequels do.

🔥 The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is the sequel you NEED to read! If you loved The Perfect Marriage, this twisty, fast-paced thriller will have you second-guessing everything. Just when I thought I had it figured out—boom, another twist! 🤯 Jeneva Rose delivers yet again with a gripping, unputdownable read. Don’t start this unless you’re ready to finish it in one sitting! 📖✨
Full review will be up on blog soon.

It’s been more than a decade, since Sarah, defended her now ex-husband in the death of his mistress. Putting her past behind her, Sarah remarried Bob and was under the impression that her life was going well. But when it becomes apparent that Bob has been cheating on her, Sarah files for divorce immediately. She’s not going down this road again. But then Bob’s one night stand shows up dead and DNA reopens the murder that her first husband was implicated in. A twisty and surprising mystery about a woman who has put her trust in the wrong man, one too many times.

What a fun follow up this was to the first book. I liked it even better. I like to see when an author just keeps getting better and better. Loved it!
