Someone else described this as 50 shades meets Greys Anatomy & it’s exactly that. It’s smutty & fast paced Adam’s character development was really good, because at first I was 100% but I did enjoy how done bad he was for Jess. I did feel like pacing was off a little for me, it’s only a 350 book so thats expected but I feel like another 100 pages would have allowed the plot/romance to develop more.
I am intrigued on Parker & Monica!
Thank you Netgalley & Lexi Davis for sending me an arc copy in exchange for a honest review

Think Grey’s Anatomy meets Fifty Shades. 😏🥵
Deeply Examined — even though it was a slow burn I found that I didn’t want to put it down!!
It’s dark, spicy, has a lot of plot and character development. What more could you want?!
Jessica the FMC is an all warm and sunshine teacher and Adam the MMC is the brooding ambitious doctor with a hidden secret.

Going into Deeply Examined I had high hopes, but it fell a bit flat for me.
The plot itself was interesting and had some good twists, however, there was a low budget-esque feel to it that I couldn't move past.
If you are looking for a basic, quick, smutty read this would fill that spot for sure.

Wow! What a spicy little read! Thank you to Netgalley for the e-arc. This was the perfect palate cleanser between the bigger books I have been reading lately. The characters, the plot, and the spice were amazing!

I ate this book. I read it in less than a day. It was my first time reading a dark romance in a medical setting. Dr. Adam West and teacher Jessica Jones come from a common background, but their lives take two different turns. Their past is explored in the book, and it also explains some of their behaviors.
What started as a routine check up turned into an almost instant romance full of passion and obsession. I didn’t know what to expect about the spicy scenes in that setting but I really liked them. The book combines story, spice, cute moments, and character development.
I didn’t agree with some of the behaviors of West and how he kept things from Jessica. West goes through somewhat “extreme”lengths to protect and keep Jessica. The decision that Jessica makes in the end gave both what they wanted and it fits like they fit with one another.
I also liked how the author explored their pasts, how not everything isn’t as it seems when you are in high school, and how they grew throughout the book.
I am really intrigued to see where the author takes the story of 2 of the secondary characters. And that unexpected epilogue really surprised me.
Thank you Lexi Davis and Hayling Bookstorm Ltd for the ARC Copy. All opinions are my own.

A dark steamy medical romance that started off intense with plot, romance, and character development sprinkled throughout.
Both characters were well-developed and their backstory was nicely woven into the story (especially Adam's history, which was slowly revealed). Jessica is someone who is just meant to be a teacher with the kind heart and passion she has, and I'm so glad that Adam taught her how to have a voice and be more assertive. Adam was so closed up and stoic before Jessica came back into his life and brought more light/life into him. I loved his reasoning for going into obgyn, especially tied in with the way he revealed the story about his past (which was heartbreaking and I just wanted to give him a huge hug). Loved all their soft and sweet tender moments and I hope to see more of this couple in the next Deeply Desired novel.
4.5

Thank you NetGalley and Lexi Davis for the opportunity to review this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.
This was one spicy little number! It was like watching a dark version of Greys Anatomy with lots of trigger warnings. Jessica is a struggling teacher who goes for her annual check up with West. He’s been crushing on her since high school but she doesn’t remember him. So of course she must be his. The chemistry between the two characters, tension, possessiveness, and emotional depth made it unable to put this book down.

I enjoyed this book, it was a spicy short read in between bigger books. The plot was easy to follow and the spice was spicing!

Whewww what a book. West and Jessica’s dynamic was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️! I enjoyed learning the back story of each character, as everything is not what it seems, and all of the secrets were revealed at the perfect times. I don’t usually read medical romance, but I’m glad I got accepted for this - I’m looking forward to a continuation! Definitely check this out if you like dark romance.

Just want to say thank you Lexi for letting be an ARC Reader for your book. 🥰
A culmination of all three books from the Deeply Examined Series that came out earlier this year, and it does not disappoint. I absolutely loved this story - it is so well written and I would quite happily read it again and again and again!! I basically ate up the whole story in about day.
Jessica Jones is a patient of Dr Adam West and when he steps into the room, he cannot believe what he sees - his High School Crush!! And then when she doesn't realise who he is, he takes matters into his own hands in which things then spiral for the both of them in different ways, and changes their lives forever.
Although this book is dark at times, with spicy scenes throughout (love the artwork), it goes into some depth about Adam's background and his family history, and once Jessica comes back into his life, he then tries to face his demons and insecurities whilst at the same time trying to help Jessica with her own traumas she is facing.
This book is full of tension, jealousy, suspense and angst and I am here for it. Adam is so morally grey, particularly around his possessiveness of Jessica, and then when he goes a bit too far....oh boy!!
Although Jessica is initially wary of him, she cannot resist him as he brings out a side of her she didn't know she could be, and she likes it and wants more.
It is definitely a 5 star read for me 😉
Cannot wait to see what Lexi has in store for us next 🥰

Deeply Examined Omnibus/Completed Novel: A Dark Medical Romance by Lexi Davis offers a captivating mix of Fifty Shades and Grey's Anatomy ( yes I stole this view from another review, it's bang on!).Jessica and West's story was so captivating that I devoured the entire novel in just one afternoon.
Jessica, a struggling teacher, goes for her annual exam, but it turns into something far beyond what she expected. West, stunned to see his high school crush Jessica in his exam room, takes it as an opportunity to dominate her and test her limits. While the novel ventures into dark themes with an abundance of spicy scenes, Lexi Davis beautifully brings depth to both Jessica and West. Watching them evolve both together and apart adds emotional richness to the story. West's complex family history and personal struggles resurface as Jessica re-enters his life, forcing him to confront his demons while supporting Jessica through her own challenges. Jessica's journey unfolds as she begins to understand the extent of West's influence on her life. At first, she resists, but ultimately realizes she doesn’t want to escape his grasp after all. Their journey concludes with a HEA and wraps up deliciously.

Steammmmmmy. Fast paced. Couldn't put it down. So hot. Obsessed with this book is an understatement. Stalking the author now for sure. 🔥😍

This book was a fast paced story from start to finish. If you are looking to dip a toe into the world of medical kink, this may be a good starting point for you.
The pacing was very quick from the first page and was easily readable in one sitting.
However, the pacing didn't really work, as I felt that it left the characters underdeveloped. Knowing more about them earlier in the story would have warmed me to them more and made certain plot points more engaging. The dialog was missing warmth and personality which could also lead to more connection with the characters.
I also felt that some plot points, which offered ample room for quality content, were glossed over in favor of moving along an already short story.

This book was awesome. Spicy and dark. I was lucky to be on Lexi Davis' ARC team when she was releasing this in 3 parts (the cliffhangers were no joke!) The way everything wrapped up in the end and the explanations (the trauma) made sense and created an awesome conclusion to this spicy, dark medical romance. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Thank you to Netgalley and Lexi Davis for the eARC.

I love this book, is the kind of book that you need to finish because you can't take off your hand !!
The book is quite spicy but in the last part of the book it focused more deeply on them, and that emotional depth made me fall even more in love.
There were moments that made me laugh and others that shattered my heart 💔, but through it all, I was completely hooked. I enjoyed it so much that I’m already planning a full re-read of the entire book!
Let's talk about the character, I personally loved Dr. West, he is so deep let's forget about the money and the way he looked ( I personally think is so freaky handsome) but the way she thought and wrote him he is so deep but I can't say tooo much because I really would love you to read it because is beautiful.

3.5⭐️
When he buys her a bed to tie her up in AND has his very own library WITH A LADDER.
I thought this book was great. Good writing, fast paced and easy to digest. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it a lot.
It is in fact dark and very spicy but sometimes that’s just what you need as a source of entertainment.
I’d love to read what Lexi Davis writes next💘

This was like a Fifty Shades of Grey meets medical Dr. Greys Anatomy romance. If you like darker romances than this is the book for you. I thought both characters had great chemistry.i really enjoyed the protective aspect as well. It was a well written engaging story that had me flipping the pages well into the night to see what would happen next.

Deeply Examined is incredibly good!! This is the perfect blend of Fifty Shades and Grey's Anatomy. Jessica is a struggling teacher who goes for her annual exam and it's nothing like she expected. Dr. West is mysterious and has all the Christian Grey vibes and it makes me so excited!
Dr. Adam West has one small secret though he knew Jessica from high school. He immediately is protective of Jessica when Lexi gives us an edge of our seat level of suspense and he rescues her.
Any other story we might be yelling at Jessica to stay away or maybe slow down and be careful. Yet for some reason we don't want her to stop. Adam is a red flag villianish guy and we all know Jessica should really stay away from him, but his past keeps those walls up. Like all walls though they can be knocked down with enough force and Jessica is definitely that force.
Sweet tender moments and special gifts soften me up to Adam and love how Jessica and Adam grow together and individually, but unfortunately a secret comes out destroying everything they worked on.
Does it break everything they worked so hard on or are we told cupcake shattering everything? 🧁

This book is so good and left me wanting more! I love a good medical doctor romance especially when spicy time starts in the gyn0 exam room. Jessica was the prom queen in high school and object of every boy's desire. But she doesn't recognize Dr. West when he walks into the exam room for her annual appointment. But he certainly recognizes her. He had a huge crush on her in high school and still does. He's changed a bit in ten years. He's super hunky now and Jessica definitely won't forget him this time!
Dr. West is definitely the anti-hero but he really comes through for Jessica when she is being terrorized by a drunk neighbor. He comes to her rescue and even demands that she leave her apartment and stay in his luxurious home. West is such a complex character and he is certainly hiding something dark about himself from Jessica. Will she be able to break through his frosty exterior and find the marshmallow softie that hides inside? The s3xual tension between them is palpable. And West's control is only hanging on by a thread.
In the latter part of the book, you learn about West's sad childhood and his hard won fight to become successful despite his past circumstances. It also helps you (kind of) understand why he st@lks Jessica and is so obsessive about her. When Jessica discovers a tidbit of information that West is hiding, to say she's not thrilled is an understatement! But where does that leave West when he looks to Jessica for his redemption and salvation? Will they work out their differences in love languages and communication and find their way to a happily ever after? I adored West despite his unconventional ways of showing love. And the spicy scenes were awesome. I hope to read more about this couple in a future book.

🌶️5/5 Spice
🔥Slow Burn
❤️ Smut with a plot
✨Dual POV
Woah, all right this book was S-T-E-A-M-Y in absolute capital letters in the best way possible. There is SMUT and then there is SMUT with a plot and this was defiantly the latter.
Jessica, our MMC, is strong, independent, caring and kind. She is a school teacher that has lost both of her parents early on in her life and the book starts off with a bang when she is just getting a routine annual examine when, Dr.Adam West walks in. The tension in the air during this scene is so palpable you can literally cut through it with a knife. Dr.Adam West, is handsome and smart. Little does Jessica know, he used to be obsessed with her in high school. He was a senior while she was a freshman, so she never knew him then. He always watched her from a distance. She was the popular sweet cheerleader and he was the nerd who was heavily bullied. After, realizing who is in his examine room, he conducts his examination a little more throughly than he should. Leaving them both hanging for more. However, West has rules — he never gets attached, never more than one sexual encounter and defiantly no dating. So why does he suddenly find himself giving Jessica his number and breaking every rule/boundary there is when it comes to doctor/patient relations?!
Let me start off by saying, I literally devoured this book in like 5 hours. I stayed up all night reading this because I was hanging on every single word, and every scene left me craving more with that tension in the air. This book was SMUT at it’s finest, but with a plot. Which I know I’ve said like 5 times already, but yes please! It’s so rare to find smut that has something going on besides, well smut. SO we love a good smut with a plot. The slow burn in this book is absolutely killer. It is just so well written — the pacing that gives us that good slow burn is absolutely spot on. There is time jumps in this book, which, I sometimes feel like don’t work well because they aren’t executed properly in most books. However, this just added to that level of slow burn and unlike most time jumps in novels, it felt like a smooth transition and I didn’t feel like I had just missed 25 chapters in between.
This book has so much character development in both West and Jessica. West obviously more than Jessica as his layers were more of an onion. Every single scene left me page turning. We learn more and more about West’s history and why he is the way he is and what really makes him tick. It’s character development in it’s finest, when you realize that the roles have reversed from the past —West once bullied, and not so attractive then, is now the popular, rich, sexy doctor. While Jess, may still be hot, but she’s a teacher who is poor and doesn’t have any family. She slowly starts to realize that West has embedded himself in every aspect of her life and there’s no escaping. Thing’s couldn’t be going better until she realizes that he’s been holding on to secrets.
Overall, yes or no to should you read this book? UM Abso-freaking-lutely. If you are a dark romance girly like myself, this will be a fast, on your edge, book for you. It also got me out of a little reading rut I was in! I’m excited to see if we will get a Parker and Monica book after that little tease on the end!
