"Last Chance to Save the World" was a nice ending to this novella trilogy. Of the three, this one was probably the least exciting since the mission was more straight forward. We also know Ada well enough at this point to know she always has a plan and at least 6 steps ahead at all times. The one thing I wish is that we got a more satisfying ending with the romance brewing between Ada and Rian.

what a fun conclusion to this series (although I wouldn't say no to more, hinthint).
There were all kinds of little Easter eggs, throughout this and the other books in this series. Clearly, I need to read more of this authors' writing This was a fast-paced heist, lots of twists and turns, and plenty of doublecrossing .
we have a creepy bad guy, sassy heroine, and a multitude of interesting characters in between. It did feel unfinished at the very end, I could have had another chapter (or another trilogy?)

Ada and Rian have one last chance to save the world. She's a hacker with a top secret client and he's a starchy government agent. She's kidnapped him (he claims this is a bad first date) and they are earth bound to stop a mega trillionaire from releasing drones that will cause irreparable damage to the climate and the people of earth. They're working together, except not ... Rian *needs* to turn Ada in, and Ada won't tell Rian her true motive.

On the one hand, I thought this might be the strongest of the novellas plot wise in the series, taken on its own merit. It's fun. There are some longing gazes and hot kisses. On the other hand, it *does not feel like a conclusion* as the blurb indicates. The romantic arc is almost entirely unresolved, and while the plot arc of the book is resolved, the overarching plot of the series has a lot of open threads still.

I have enjoyed this series - bite sized SF novellas built like this really work well as a format for me, and the narration of the audiobooks has been great. It should be read in order.

Thanks to NetGalley and the author and publisher for an audiobook arc! I was really excited for this series because sci fi romantasy are so few and far between and they usually slap so hard too that I look forward to consuming all that I can.

I’m not sure I agree with this series being a trilogy. If you’re going to split up the story into three books they should be separate contained stories. This feels more like 1 book split into 3 novella sized books. At best this would have made a great duology. I also don’t agree with the “explosive conclusion”. It wasn’t explosive and it certainly didn’t feel like a conclusion (there could honestly be a whole other novella). If you were here for the romance I’m afraid you’ll be left wanting as that also does not conclude and it makes the narrator seem disingenuous.

I’d still recommend this series as the writing is fun and the story had a lot of potential but I recommend with some caveats. If you’re here after reading the first 2 it doesn’t feel like a satisfactory ending. There’s more talk/banter than actual action for the end of a heist story. If you came across this book and it sounds interesting but you haven’t read the first 2 I would recommend trying the first one and then reading all 3 as one book.

Duologies are underrated. Not every story needs more books. Interested to read more from this author.

A fun conclusion to the Chaotic Orbit trilogy. The first book will always be my favorite, I think, but this is a strong addition. We finally have all of our questions answered, but the door is still open to see more of Ada and Rain. Personally, I hope this isn't the end for them.

The narrators are still fantastic. I think this series could have benefited from a true duet audiobook, since they casted both Ada's and Rian's voices. It would have been satisfying to hear Rian's VA for his dialogue, and not just for his memos and communications. The audiobooks aren't any less fantastic, though. I'm more than happy with the way they are. This trilogy has been short and sweet and sooooo much fun!! A perfect series to read between heavier and longer audiobooks.

After kidnapping Rian at the end of the second book, Ada is on a mission to save Earth from hacked nanobots set to hurt its remaining residents.

I was really looking forward to this conclusion but it left me wanting more! I wanted more organic moments between Ada and Rian, without her steamrolling him at every turn. There was a lot of inner monologuing and just not enough romance between them to really call this a fleshed out story. I appreciated the mystery and Ada’s ability to always be one step ahead in the heist, the world building is truly very interesting, but not used to its full potential. Overall a good “trilogy” if you can binge it all-together.

Thank you to Dreamscape Lore for the free audiobook. Narration by Dara Rosenberg and David Bendena was great, they added fun personalities to both characters and made it an enjoyable listen.

All right, I reviewed the previous entry in the series and gave it 4/5 because I love the premise but feel like this all could've been one book instead of dragging it out like this. Well, this conclusion is getting the same rating because I really love Ada and Rian, but this "conclusion" didn't resolve anything between them in a satisfying way. There's definitely a "the adventures continue" which I'm fine with because I like the book and there's some developments in this one that made me root for Ada's core mission even harder, but this is not a complete story.

I did love this descriptor of the series antagonist Strom Fetor as "an obscenely imbecilic man who crucified his own family to steal a bigger pot of the generational wealth that ensures he never once has to contemplate the deeply corrupt system of oppression that consistently enables him to fail up."
