Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman

What a delightful and exciting middle grade adventure! I loved seeing a book filled with kids who love books, and the game was so interesting. I loved all the puzzles. What a unique idea! I feel like I would have loved this as a young girl, especially since I lived in California back then and was familiar enough with San Francisco that I could see everything play out in my mind. Adorable.

this is a fun children/middle grade novel.. imagine solving a puzzle and finding books as your reward. can someone do this for me every holiday season? or just simply give me books?

Books that love books are the best kind of books! Readers will want to pick up the mentioned books and go on book drop mission of their own after this thrilling adventure.

Loved the premise, the writing, the characters, the twists and turns. I wanted to get this book in to every one of my students' hands.

No longer interested but probably would have liked it if I read it when I got it.

This story is right up my alley. I loved the literary references, the mystery, the games and ciphers, and the relationship between James and Emily. I will have no problem recommending this to kids I serve at the library.
