Life hasn’t been easy for 32 year old Linda Zook, being orphaned at age 4 and raised by an uncle that didn’t want her. But Linda is determined to make something of her life, working part time at the Lancaster Grand Hotel, she desires to we worthy of a life that she can be happy and loved. Thirty-two year old Aaron Ebersol comes back into the picture after leaving the Amish community for almost two decades because of the harsh demands of his father. These two meet up, but what will life be for them because of their background? Can they find love and forgiveness for the family that wronged them?
Amy Clipston is one of my favorite Amish writers. I love her writing style, the long series about this Amish Community and the families, and I fell in love with her characters in the first book of this series! Linda and Aaron’s story is a sad, but yet a happy one. I thoroughly enjoyed following the lives of these two characters through the thick and thin of their relationship. As I read their story, I could clearly see the love, grace, forgiveness and redemption of our God in the lives of these characters. In everything they went through, God was in the driver’s seat of their lives and leading them every step of the way. If you enjoy Amish fiction, this series is a must for you. Check out A Simple Prayer by Amy Clipston, and the other books in this awesome series.
