This is an interesting story of old friends reuniting and rekindling their relationships. I enjoyed the side stories of the various characters. The writing is atmospheric of the African region and its beauty.
Many thanks to Bloomsbury Reader and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

It took me a while to get into this book about this complicated group of friends, a group of friends who has drifted apart in the years after college but manages to come together for their friend's 40th birthday celebration. This book is equal parts heartbreaking, romantic, and honest- honest about the fragility and complications of life and friendship. Im glad I took the time to read it.

I could not finish this book, so I cannot review. It just wasn't for me. I do not want to dissuade anyone from reading this book just because it was not a story that I enjoyed.

This book was okay. I stuck with it, even though it was not my favorite friends reunion novel. I found it to be a bit tedious to wade through.

Thank you to NetGalley for a review copy.

I liked the descriptions of Africa and could just feel the heat. It helped bring the book to life. The friends kept the book interesting and made you think about some of your old friendships and how they might be now. A good book. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

This book is resembles more of a picture done in finger paint by a four year old than an actual work of art. There was no style or finesse to discovering what made these couples tick. There were too many characters to keep track of throughout the story. The unhappiness that oozes from the various couples makes it seem like marriage is an awful institution. No one was happy for very long. Based on the description I was expecting one of my favorite styles of writing - various perspectives told throughout. I was just disappointed on so many levels with this story.
