This is the 3rd in the Kate Green series by @elisehartkipnessauthor series and I have enjoyed the whole series. Mostly because of the added sports element to her thrillers.

This one is definitely a great mystery with some dark secrets woven in. I loved every minute!

This thriller set around the US Open and the world of tennis kept me guessing to the end. Kate Green is doing in-depth interviews of the female tennis players predicted to dominate the US Open. During an interview a threatening message is received with an image that shows that the other player has been kidnapped. Kate is determined to protect the player that received the message and find the other player. She calls in her dad, an NYPD officer, and he brings in the FBI. Working together can they figure it out before it is too late for everyone involved? This is book 3 in the Kate Green series but I read it as a standalone and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kate is a character that I immediately like and want to know more about. I enjoyed the storyline about her family and her relationship with her father. Plus the budding relationship with the FBI agent she was paired with added depth to the story. The kidnapping kept me guessing and I was pleased with the outcome. I can’t wait to read more Kate Green books! I recommend this book to readers that enjoy thrillers with strong female characters. Add this to your tbr as it is not published until August 19.

Close Call by Elise Hart Kipness is the third book in the Kate Green series.

I absolutely love this series, and this third is amazing!

Kate Green is a sports reporter and is investigating a missing tennis start at the US Open.

Kate is working with the FBI and her dad who is a detective with the NYPD.

I love reading about the US open and all that goes on behind the scenes.

This thriller is compelling and exciting. This author knows her sports and this one is hard to put down!

This is the third book in the series, but can be read in any order, as this is actually a prequel to the series.

Highly recommend!
