This was my first book by Allison Ashley and I really liked it! I loved Carley and Brooks relationship and how it evolved throughout the book. The conflict in the book felt natural and not forced. 4 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC.

Falling into Place is the fourth Allison Ashley book I've read, and continues fall within her genre of contemporary romance with medical twist.
Plot Summary: Carly is an accountant by day, but moon-lighting as a fashion stylist. Her best friend's older brother, Dr. Brooks Martin, is her newest client/project. Brooks is going to be featured as a eligible bachelor in a local Oklahoma City magazine, and needs a fresh look. Carly has known Brooks since adolescence, and has always harbored a little crush on him. They were never close in high school, and haven't spent much time together in the 15 years since graduation. Due to their forced proximity to complete the fashion overhaul of Brook's appearance, Carly and Brooks get to know one another as adults, and sparks begin to fly. With her inability to date a client, and his inability to open his heart, is their relationship doomed or will it fall into place?
My Impressions: One of the main reasons I read Allison Ashley's books are the medical/heavy themes always included. Although this particular book had no medical issue between the main characters, Brooks is a doctor so the medical workplace is included a little bit. I appreciated the author's medical knowledge accurately describing the hospital and environment Brooks worked in.
This novel focused more on the emotional development / character growth of both of the main characters. It took me a little longer to get into this book, but it was well done overall. I think both characters showed healthy growth in the way they approached their relationship. (I also enjoyed the cats being included in the story!)
If you liked Abby Jimenez's Say You'll Remember Me, you'll probably like this too!
Content considerations: Heavy use of strong profanity (f---), romantic scenes between unmarried couple with descriptive making-out that fades to black, innuendoes, heavy issues.
Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for the the complementary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. My review is my own opinion and is in no way influenced by the author or publisher.

If I could summarize this book in word it would be: CUTE.
Fans of tropes like: best friend’s older brother and forced proximity.
Like I mentioned this book was a cute, sweet easy read. Which I can always expect with an Allison Ashley book. However, even though I enjoyed Brooks & Carly’s story, it wasn’t my favorite by Allison.
My Pros-
- [ ] I enjoyed the slow-burn buildup of Brooks & Carly’s relationship. Even though they both knew each other in high school I’m glad they took the time to reconnect grow together. Made their journey worth it.
- [ ] I loved Carly’s character from start to finish. Carly is a great female lead. She’s smart, kind, empathetic and easy to relate to.
Now for the Cons-
- [ ] Oh Brooks even though I love you with Carly. As a character on your own I have my struggles with you. Mainly I don’t believe this man used to be a player then decides to do a total 180 and stop sleeping around and all of a sudden struggles to talk to women. Like come on, that’s just not mathing my guy.
- [ ] Lastly the weird 3rd person POV is not something I could get behind. Sadly just not for me.
Overall, this is a cute quick easy read perfect for any upcoming summer reading. Definitely pick it up, when it releases this August. Lastly big Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC.

Dare I say this is my favorite Allison Ashely book yet??? She does friends to lovers SO WELL, and after reading If Tomorrow Never Comes, I was desperate for a Carly book. It was everything I could have hoped for and more - I mean there's two cats in this book plus Carly crochets!!! Automatic 5 stars right there!
Really though, this book will make you laugh and cry. Allison always has deeper/darker themes in here books so be sure to check the TW/CW!

Another amazing read by Allison Ashley. After reading If Tomorrow Never Comes, I was beyond excited to find out that Carly was getting a book as well! Her story of finding her niche in life, along with her developing relationship with her best friend’s brother, Brooks, took me on an emotional journey. Both of them had dragons to slay, so to speak, and following along as they learned to trust one another gave the story a deeper layer of meaning. I loved this book, these characters and this author! I’m excited for more in the future.

This is my first Allison Ashley book, and it was cute!
Brooks and Carly were such a pair, and the banter is there!
I could relate to Brooks and the scrubs.. lol.. in healthcare, you almost forget how to dress like a normal person because all you wear for so much of your life is scrubs.. so I felt him on that one!
I don't want to give away too much, but as Carly is working to style Brooks (by the way, he is a doctor), feelings start to develop. As always lot of turmoil for the characters while they work up the nerve to tell each other how they feel.
You get: best friends' older brother and forced proximity in this contemporary romance.
Characters are well-developed.
The plot is well structured with an adequate pace.
I think this is certainly something you should pick up if you want a quick read that gives you the warm, cozy feels!
Thank you to NetGalley and Allison Ashley for this ARC

4 stars ⭐️ The banter between Carly and Brooks and top tier! It was a quick and fun read! This is definitely for fans of Abby Jimenez!
What to expect:
- best friend’s brother
- forced proximity
- slow burn
- closed door romance

Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for this ARC.
I didn’t love this one. All of this author’s romances involve medicine in some way and I like that. The 3rd person POV was not for me. The MMC is a doctor who begins a bachelor like journey to help his sisters’ online magazine. When he falls for his stylist/sisters best friend, he can’t get past his emotional unavailability.

Thank you, NetGalley and Montlake Publishing, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this was a sweet and cute read. I was invested almost immediately and hooked until the end. "If Tomorrow Never Comes" is the story of Carly, the bone marrow donor. Brooks has been convinced by his sisters to give dating another try, but his wardrobe is atrocious. Enter our girl, Carly. She is an accountant by day, a nightly stylist, and an all-around badass. Carly is assigned to help Brooks with his wardrobe, and sparks fly immediately. What I like about this book is that the chemistry between Carly and Brooks feels natural. It was a much lighter story than Ashley's previous book, so not so many heartstrings were pulled (in a good way). What I like about her books is that they have an Abby Jimenez/Emily Henry feel, like putting on a cozy oversized sweatshirt.
P.S. Who doesn't love a man in scrubs?
Read if you like:
-Forced proximity
-Best friend's brother
-Dual POV

I was able to get an ARC through Montlake Publishing on NetGalley in exchange for a review.
I loved this book! It had everything I love in a romance novel- pining, slow burn, dual POV, best friend’s brother, and the kind of love that gives me butterflies. It did such a good job of weaving an adorable love story with some real life topics. Both the MMC and FMC have gone through trauma in their past, as well as having to navigate tough challenges in adulthood.
From start to finish this book was an absolutely lovely read.

This book just made my heart so happy! I love transformation tv shows, cats, Oklahoma, and friends who become more so this book was perfect. MMC is in a rut and is working through a lot of emotions, FMC is figuring out her life, and (spoiler alert) they decide their journeys are better with each other. 🫶
Tropes:
3rd act break up 😬
Best friends brother 👩❤️💋👨
Friends to lovers👏
Forbidden relationship 🤫
MMC healing through trauma ❤️🩹
MMC in health care🩺
Cat parents 🐈⬛
Fade to black, intimacy is implied. 🌶️ 🌶️
Trigger warnings:
Off page death of both MMC parents
Off page gambling addiction of FMC mom

How can you not fall in love with a man in scrubs, let alone one that is willing to help his sisters out in a bind. Brooks use to be an outgoing guy growing up, till some trauma happened and he went off to school to become a doctor. He became standoffish at work and never found time to date. So, in order to help his sister's magazine that their mother started, Brooks agrees to a Bachler style dating experience. To get him ready for his dates, he meets with Carly, his sister's best friend and stylist to dress him to impress all his dates.
Carly is going thru some of her own challenges, and it's actually perfect timing for her to be asked to help Brooks out. The more time they spend together, they begin to wonder if maybe they should just be together. However, neither wants to hurt his sister or cause issues with Carly's job.
Get ready for a nice slow burn book. Another hit by Allison Ashley!!!

Allison Ashley how do you do it every time?! Her books are quick to get me invested in the characters and feel all the feelings! Thank you so much to Allison Ashley and Netgalley for the ARC. I loved getting to read this early and it was so worth it. I loved the premise of this story and really related to Carly. Her and Brooks were just the sweetest. Just like all of Allison Ashley's books this one did also tackle the hard parts of life and made me cry, but she manages to do it in a hopeful way which I so appreciate. I highly recommend reading this book, but you may want to make sure you have tissues nearby when you do!

I loved this book and read it in one sitting. The romance was super sweet and the banter between Carly & Brooks will keep a smile on your face.
When accountant-turned-stylist, Carly Porter, teams up with best friend, Sasha, to give one bachelor the chance to find a date & be featured in Sasha’s local magazine. The bachelor? None other than Sasha’s older brother, Brooks, and the former school girl crush of Carly. Carly is hopeful this is the perfect opportunity to prove herself to her boss and show how much she deserves a full-time spot with stylist company, Mode.
No longer the wild party boy he was in high school, Brooks Martin, tends to be more of an antisocial workaholic who prefers gardening & his cat, all while still coping with a devastating loss in his past.
As Carly and Brooks work together to transform Brooks into a charming catch, their undeniable chemistry threatens to put Carly’s career aspirations at risk.
Perfect for fans of witty banter, forced proximity, and my best-friend’s older brother love interest.

4.5 Set in the author's hometown of Oklahoma City, we get a Bachelor-type story that is friends to lovers. Along the way is endless banter (Allison's strong suit), character growth, and some beloved side characters. Allison is an auto-buy author, and there were elements of this one that felt a little different than her other books. Still, Brooks (MMC) working in the medical field fits given Allison's career in oncology, and the banter between Brooks and Carly is top notch.

This was such a sweet, funny, and emotional story! I absolutely loved Allison’s book If Tomorrow Never Comes, so I was so excited to see this sequel with Carly’s story. I loved the tie into the medical field with Brooks, as I’m a respiratory therapist who used to work in the ICU frequently. I loved that tie in. Overall it was a great read! The only thing that I wasn’t sure how I felt about the little blips at the beginning of each paragraph from Brooks or Carly’s past. Some I thought were fitting to the chapter and some I found confusing. That combined with the pace of the book at times is why I dropped the rating to a 4. Still a wonderful book though!

This was cute. I liked the slow burn and build up to Carly and Brooks getting together. I couldn’t get over that he took the first woman he went out with home. There’s never a full discussion of what happened, but it felt unnecessary. But if you exclude that, it was a quick and sometimes emotional read (and heavily touched on grief).

Okay I’m pretty sure this was my first book by this author BUT I can guarantee this won’t be my last!
I loved the approach towards love, the sincerity, the teasing!
Brooks was arguably the perfect mmc a loner who’s only social interactions are his job but a truly good person who doesn’t know much about anything when it comes to love or his own appeal.

I thought Falling Into Place was a cute story. I loved the best friend’s brother/forbidden romance of it all. I also thought the grief aspect was well done. Overall an enjoyable read.

FALLING INTO PLACE is a fun and sweet romance that has you invested in the characters from the very beginning. Imagine styling a hot, smart, and sweet guy who you're attracted to to help him find love but that love can't be you because that relationship would hurt your career. So you act like you're happy and excited for him to go on dates with people that aren't you all the while you find yourself catching feelings as you spend more time together and see more of his thoughtful and adorable side. This author always knows how to write dreamy guys!!!
