Jack is a leading homicide detective and he is bored as he has a slow caseload so Jack sends his resume and gets noticed by the first precinct in NY. But Jack then gets a triple homicide after it is solved jack moves to NYC To ease Jack into the faster ways of NYC they give him a cold case to work on. But then the cold case becomes active again when another body shows up like the ones in the cold case. Then jack and his new partner find some clues to help them on the case. The case was of prostitutes being killed by a black mamba which is a S. African venomous snake..Frank now has a stripper girlfriend named Didi. She is asked by the police to help get the killer , to be used as bait. It is clear to Jack that some NY big shots are involved in the case.
There was two novellas but i just didn’t really get into this didn’t see anything super special as I read a lot of cop type stories. A lot of the dialogue seemed kinda immature and forced at least to me. I didn’t seem that much different from other stories I have read except snakes and I hate snakes were involved but anyway . I am sure someone else will love these.
