My 9 year old was THRILLED to receive an early copy of this book so thank you NetGalley and the publisher. He’s a huge fan of the series. He says he found Mango really funny and liked the different scenes. He said the whole story was good and just loved everything about it. Thank you John for putting books into the workers young readers get excited about.

Thank you to NetGalley for an early copy to review.
This book was a fun and quick read, and allows the reader to solve the case as the story goes along. My daughter and I enjoyed going through the cases and seeing if we could figure it out along with the story. She usually goes through graphic novels really quickly, which I think a lot of other kids do too. The story incorporates stopping points and guides you to where you need to go back and review the clues. I appreciated how it encourages the reader to go back and pay attention to details in order to solve the cases too. It is a good lead in to other books like Encyclopedia Brown where you can try to solve the cases too.

I love the InvestiGators series and am always excited when a new book from the series is released. This book is a little different in that it is giving the reader the opportunity to solve the cases alongside Mango and Brash. What I really liked about the book is formatted that it helps walk readers through how to solve the crimes, identify important clues, and introduces them to the idea of a red herring. I also liked that readers are encouraged to look back through the story (with specific page numbers noted) to review what they read. The mysteries are just as funny and silly as those from the full-length books and are sure to keep younger readers entertained. I hope the author puts out more of these types of books in the future!

“Investigators Case Files” is a graphic novel that is excellent for younger elementary readers who may not yet be ready for more complex works in the graphic novel format. The vibrant, full-color illustrations are visually engaging and likely to appeal to this age group. Based on my own experience as a parent of graphic novel enthusiasts, the preference for full-color over black-and-white panels is significant—these are consistently the books my children, and my library patrons, choose first. Unlike the other Investigator books, this edition has several short stories and an opportunity for the reader to take part in solving the mystery. The new format was fun and engaging for my 8-year-old. I highly recommend this series for anyone looking for higher-quality alternatives to other popular graphic novel series.
Thank you to NetGallery and First Second Books for an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I feel like I get asked every week when the next InvestiGators is coming out, so excited for September! A great series fo rearly readers trying to get into reading and want to read something fun.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and First Second Books for the ARC of InvestiGators: Case Files. This is one of my favorite graphic novel series, and this one has an exciting new twist! This installment was honestly SO fun! I read this with my 2 boys (10, 8) and they each took notes along the way to try and figure out the clues. There are multiple mysteries in this graphic novel. This will be a wonderful addition to our graphic novel collection.

"InvestiGators: Case Files" is a middle grade graphic novel starring the InvestiGators, Mango and Brash, but this time the readers get to try to solve the crimes! The InvestiGators lead the readers through the case and hightlight potential clues and then the reader tries to figure out who did it. Funny and enjoyable, this is a must buy where the other InvestiGators books are popular.
