I never read the original books from this series but I do love a good rockstar romance and this did not disappoint in this.
Felix was not what I was expecting. I find rockstars in romance books tend to be moody, man whores who ignore the FMC for a good portion of the book. Felix was quite refreshing in this sense.
Maggie is trying to make it in film and goes on tour with the band to make content with them. She definitely can’t resist Felix’s charm.
This was an enjoyable read and I am hopeful for what is to come with this series

Quick Summary: A NA rocker romance
My Review: Walk the Line by Paula Dombrowiak & Natalie Parker is book #1 in the Blood & Bone Legacy series. It "is the first book in the Blood & Bone and Turn it Up second generation series crossover." The official release date is 4/22/25.
About the Book: "It was supposed to be simple: Film the tour. Build my portfolio. And for Heavens sake, keep it in my pants. Then I met Felix Krasinski.
Felix is always in control, and I am an impulsive rule-breaker. We don’t make sense. But we can’t seem to stay away from each other."
In My Own Words: A rockstar in the making meets a young woman on the move to bigger and better things for her life. When their worlds collide, both fall equally. When they become victims of their own success, what happens to their love?
About the Characters:
Felix: Let me begin by saying that I loved Felix. What a fantastic character! He was a great guy with a good heart. I appreciated his fierce need to establish himself, while at the same time valuing his family. His family ties gave an indication of how he was raised, who he was as a person, and what he valued most. He was a keeper, for sure.
Maggie: I loved her strength and determination. I also loved her quirky nature, as well as her insecurities. It made her real. She, like Felix, had a solid connection with her family, which was good to see. (The dad talk was priceless.)
Rockstar and Sass (the couple): As a couple, these two worked. So what if they were opposites? They had something special. From their initial meeting until what came to be their ending-beginning, they were sparks to flames.
Velvet Drift: I loved all the guys. I am totally looking forward to reading their stories. Who's next?
Dusty: He is the most! Cool daddy, for sure.
My Favorite Scenes (coded, so as to avoid spoilers):
The Elevator
She's With the Band
Don't Say It
On the Radio
While You Were Sleeping
Dublin
My Final Say: I love a rocker romance. This story had me all in my feelings. It came at the right time and was a sweet surprise. What got me was the love, man! (Oh, how I want to say more, but I will overshare on this one.) I just really liked this young love story. You could feel the intensity coming off the pages. It was fluff, but it was also stuff. It was a good time read that I would revisit, for sure.
Other: Readers who enjoy close proximity, rocker <3 worker love stories will definitely vibe with this entertaining read. It is all about the NA!
* This would be excellent as an audiobook. *

Sincere appreciation is extended to the author, to the publisher (Dark Angel Publishing LLC), and to NetGalley. Thank you for granting access to a digital ARC of this title in exchange for an honest critique. It was a pleasure to review. I look forward to continuing with this series.

Felix is a superstar. The frontman of Velvet Drift and very attractive to Maggie. Maggie and Felix both have to keep things professional for their careers.
I didn't know that this is a second generation series at first. I do understand it even without reading the other books. I do like the characters a lot. They have terrific chemistry. Love it.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
