3.5 stars. Another solid, mellow Sarah Dessen read.

Kind of wished I’d seen more of Sydney’s backbone and the David Ibarra situation resolved. Really liked the study into family dynamics and evolving relationships. Liked Mac. Hated the overbearing, blind and hyper-focused parents.

I kept having deja vu throughout this book and I think I may have picked it up when it first came out but not gotten around to finishing it… I dunno, really can’t remember. All I know is it didn’t make enough of an impression back then for me to finish it, but it did now! :D

Sarah Dessen's writing always seems to touch my heart. Her characters have so much depth, and I seem to really connect with all of them. Even if I don't relate to the plot line, my connection to the characters always keeps me sucked in.

I love Sarah Dessen. I have read all of her books multiple times, Saint Anything included. I think this deals with a very real, legitimate fear that young females have of males who they perceive authority figures. My only complaint is that Dessen's books feature a more diverse cast of characters.

This book felt like a return to Sarah Dessen's early stories where she dealt with heavier topics, and I absolutely loved it. My favorite SD book in a while and the supporting cast of characters really made it great.

Thank you so much to net galley for sending me a copy of this book. Saint Anything ended up being one of my favorite Sarah Dessen books aside from Dreamland. I would highly recommend this book to people who think they won't like her work.

I had never read anything by Sarah Dessen before but I heard amazing things about her and her books, and people said she was one of the best contemproary authors. I still cannot say whether I agree with that statement because this was only a sneak peek but I definetely enjoyed what I read. and you already get to feel and connect with Sydney. The dark tone surprised me a bit from what I knew about the author but I can see why everyone loves her books.

I greatly enjoyed this preview of Saint Anything. I plan on continuing the book as soon as I can get it from my local library.

This is a really great sneak peak story to see if you want to purchase the whole book.

I need more! A sneak peek wasn't enough. So glad this book is already out. Can't wait to read more and find out what happens.

I love Sara Dessen! I read everything she writes. This one went a little darker than some, but it was so good. My middle schoolers have loved having this book in our library, and I'm so grateful that I could talk to them about this. Fair warning--you will crave pizza the entire time you read this!
