Only Ever Yours is the kind of haunting story that sticks with you. Freida has been bred and raised to serve men, hopefully as a companion. Girls are raised to be a companion (wife), concubine or teachers. Only one path is preferred. The boys arrive to find a mate, but Isabel, the most enchanting of their year, is not allowed to see the boys, so only her best friend Freida is the favored one. Until she starts to question why Isabel is acting so out of character. Isabel knows what is in her future, and a life without agency is no life for her. Chilling.

I'm reading this book that got lost in my queue years ago. This book is hard subject matter. It's almost too real. I realize it was published in 2015, and now in 2023, look at the world around us when it comes to women's rights. What a scary time to be alive.

Really enjoyable read. Good characters and a Good story. Well worth a read. Think others will. Enjoy
