An inspirational read that touched my heart. I enjoyed all of the quirky characters who kept me turning the pages. A really lovely book that conjured many thoughts and feelings. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Ian makes a promise to his CO to contact his daughter Charlee and bring her his journal after his death. A bittersweet story and the ensuring romance adds a nice touch. Highly recommend this book and author.

Two broken people on a way to each other - soldier fulfilling the last wish of his dying commanding officer and a daughter of said officer.

As a love story - I´ve read better ones. As a story about healing - this is good read. As a story about father´s love - this is powerful stuff.
Read this for healing from the family hurts, these parts are like a good, really working balm.
