The author writes as if she is very famous, but I don't know who she is. She talks a lot about what she uses when she's on TV, people asking for her secrets, and so on. It comes off as a little off-putting to be honest. In any case, this book is a rather long and somewhat dull primer on her beliefs on healthy beauty and skin products, diet, lifestyle changes, etc. to look beautiful and be healthy. Uliano gives extensive information on good and bad products, chemicals to avoid, types of exercise and yoga, and so on. From there, she provides a 30 day program where you radically change your diet, exercise, skin care, etc. Plan to give up most foods that are probably staples in your life -- coffee, sugar, alcohol, wheat, meat, dairy and more (she says she personally eats this way most of the time, with occasional splurges). Also plan to do about 40 minutes of exercise (she tells you which types) and either buy or make quite a lot of skin care products for this time too. The end of the book has recipes for food (without any of the foods she says you should avoid -- think smoothies, juices, salads, porridges, etc.) and then some skin and hair care recipes. These look good but call for a lot of ingredients, many of which you'll have to special order.

If you're serious about changing your appearance and health and willing to put in some serious time, energy and money, this may be an excellent resource. Others may find it a bit much.

I read a digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.
