I actually stated and stop this more times then I care to admit but I finally finished overall it was just okay.
The cover is beautiful but I think the story could have been a few pages less.
My thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
and sorry for the late review just not my cup of tea
This was a beautifully written story about a very independent woman. Rich In historical detail, the story is captivating and will keep you turning pages.
Many thanks to Greenleaf Book Group and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this story of Caty, the educated, courageous, gentle, but spirited young lady who is kidnapped on her way to England. This story chronicles her life and her marriages as she tries to survive and become the voice for others less fortunate. This is an epic tale with many ups and downs and many characters. I would have been satisfied with a few less pages and a few less characters, but overall the book was well written. I would recommend this book. I really enjoyed it!
This is an adventurous read. I enjoyed the way the heroine grows throughout the story and it is very similar to the self realizations and experiences we all face during our lives. The story line was the kind of adventure that we all can imagine ourselves slipping into, with just the right amount of excitement to help us escape our ow realities for just a little while.
I had a hard time getting into the story, but it's one that I want to try again in the future.
This book was not as great as the description said it was. I felt like there were really good stopping points but the story kept going. I preferred the part with Reese the most because at least I enjoyed that part of the story more. Sorry!
