I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!
The book did not really work for me. I DNF'ed it. I wasn’t able to connect with any of the many characters in the book and I found myself putting down the book a lot because it was never really catching my attention.
It has been a while since I read the book, but it’s a book with an interesting perspective. Penny isn’t perfect but you can see why she does the things she does and makes the decisions that she does. The plot is mostly engaging and allows for a quick read. I read and rated this years ago, but if I try really hard, I can still remember pieces of the story so that’s a decent sign!
DNF @ 20%
I've had this book for way too long, and I can't get myself to get back to it. This is definitely a "it's not me, it's you" issue because I've seen other readers enjoy it mightily. My main problem with this book was that it leans towards the dramatic side (largely due to the plot), but also exacerbated by the actions of the main character Penelope. I wasn't a fan of her personally, and the love triangle that developed was also not my style. The mafia-style family was an interesting aspect though, and I wish I had the heart to stay long enough to read more about those dynamics!
Thank you so much for the review copy Bloomsbury and Netgalley!

I received this book ARC from NetGalley.com.
The story of a girl with ITP Purpura (body kills its own red blood cell platelets) who is a member of the mafia family that works in the black market of organ transplants. Lots of twists and turns that sometimes goes a little too far in the side plots, but other than that - I enjoyed the book. I think it's an interesting look into the FAMILY and their mutual respects about how they run their businesses, etc. Definitely didn't end the way I was expecting it to end. To my knowledge, it is going to be a series. I would read the next one if there is a continuation.
Words cannot describe how much I loved this book! A huge five stars.
