Clara Bronson and her son come to Copperhead to get away from life.
And also because she has a job there.
She's the new Sheriff to this backwater mining town in a part of space people would rather forget.
She's also not necessarily wanted there--her first in command wanted the job for himself and some of the people on the planet would rather not answer to a woman.
Copperhead vol 1 is a great introduction to what promises to be a space western series you won't or can't soon forget.
After reading this, I need to read the second one, for sure!
