I had a really fantastic time reading this book! I really enjoyed the first book, and I just love her writing so much, and this was another fantastic, unique and wonderful read, one that I had such a great time with, and I'm glad that we got 2 books in this world with these characters!

The situation that Tavin is in at the start of this book isn't great, what with him now being the Word of Death, and the abilities that come with it, well, he's even more hunted. But it was such an interesting shift, and what it meant for him and for the world.

I was interested in Ryse, because the way she's described, made me think that she was just playing a role, that she didn't actually believe what she was pushing him to do. So I enjoyed reading this book to find out if I was right or not.

Reading this book was such a blast, I had such a great time watching as Tavin struggled with his abilities and his situation, figuring out what he was going to do, what the right thing was. It was fantastic and engaging and I couldn't get enough!

This was another really wonderful read and I can't wait to read more by Adrianne Strickland!

I did not read the first one. It was a difficult read for me with all the death. I felt the author did a good job with the actual writing.
