Wow! I enjoyed When Grace Sings even more than I enjoyed book 1 in the series. I am officially a huge fan of Kim Vogel Sawyer's writing! I loved getting more time with the family and getting to know them better as they relaxed around Alexa. I absolutely love the relationship between the grandmother and Alexa. I thought that the family was so strong and incredible to respect that Anna-Grace didn't yet know who her birth parents are and that she's actually their niece and not their cousin. I can't imagine going through all the changes this family faced in such a short time but the Zimmerman's have truly rolled with the punches. I really loved the friendship between Alexa and Briley. His story was so sad and he's overcome so much. I am absolutely looking forward to reading the next book and getting more time with these amazing characters!

Book two picks up where book one ended. The focus of the story is Alexa and her relationships with various family members, friends, and new acquaintances. Anna-Grace and Steven are also very involved in this book. There is quite a bit of drama for each as they realize the choices that they make will affect not only themselves but their families and communities.
This second book was as strong as the first with realistic situations and life changing decisions. Highly recommend this book!
