You will never look at fairy tales the same way again. I think one my favorites was the take on Little Red Riding Hood. If you like Fairy Tales , you have to read this book and believe in them as well. Great book, great authors. I received this book from Net Galley for a honest review and no compensation otherwise.

What an incredible collection of fairytales. I adored some of them. Here are the ones that I particularly liked, though they were all decent and well-written:
"The Warlord and the Nightingale"
Loved, loved this one. I'm a huge fan of Jeannie Lin and it was such a nice change from a traditional European fairytale to a Japanese retelling. It had a very steampunk vibe, which I enjoyed. The heroine was incredibly fearless toward the end.
“A Happily Ever After Of Her Own”
This story is adorable, It is a loving parody of all the fairytales, and the heroine is "on trial" for accidentally sending Belle/Beauty to the real world. Of course, she ends up falling in love with the Beast while they try to find her...
"What Big Teeth You Have"
This was a very PNR retelling of Red Riding Rood, complete with vampires. I kinda loved that the main couple was already married and this almost felt like a marriage-in-trouble story.

This was a pretty mixed bag of stories? None of them really stood out to me, which was unfortunate, considering how much I love fairytales and romance.

Some of these stories were fun and the others not so much. I found myself skimming a bunch of pages because errors make it hard for stories to flow and a lot make it impossible to read.
Also I wasn't really feeling the characters in some of these stories.
I'd say overall good but not great.

I love the theme of fairy-tales and felt I would really enjoy this collection.
The stories are hit or miss though. Some are fantastic and some read like first drafts.
Overall, a great bargain for 99 cents. Worth a look.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is such a great collection of short stories! It has given me new authors to look for. I love how they all have some sort of fairy tale tie in.

'The Warlord and the Nightingale' by Jeannie Lin
This was probably the most boring book I've ever read.
Weird insta love ✔
Literally no character development✔
Ugh✔
Would not recommend.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The fairytale theme behind these books are fun, but I found some to be a bit too crude for me. Also, the writing left something to be desired.

loved the pay of fairy tales - they are cute little twists for us grownups.. quick fun read all in one book so you can pick and choose your mood.

I absolutely adored this book, which was both a bit of a delightful surprise and the first step in laying a foundation of affection for everything that comes after this!

This was such a fun read. I love fairy tales and I loved the twist and turns these authors took on those old as time stories. It was a very enjoyable read.

It was an ok book. I found it difficult to switch from one story to another and some were better than others.

I was happy with this set. I got to read retellings of stories I have never heard of and interesting retellings of some i know.

It was great being aware of the fairytales and being able to know what was happening because of the original story but still have my heart drop whenever something happened. These authors were able to do that for me which is hard to do with retellings.
I enjoyed every minute of reading these stories and being apart of the lives of very different women. I definitely recommend this book.

I wish I could give this series of Authors and books a better review but I just can't. 2 1/2 Stars. Each story is very short and doesn't give reads a chance to connect with the characters before sex happens. The stories are unique but are not interesting enough for this reader to reread this series of Fairy tales.
Thank you to Netgalley for a chance to review this series of books.

I absolutely love this series!!!! I did not see the twist at the end, but I am anxious to see where the author goes from here!!! The book exciting and and story plot keeps me reading until the end.

A great collection of stories based on some of my favorite classic fairy tales. I really enjoyed reading how the various authors put a new twist on the story lines.

This is a book that has 11 different stories from different authors that cover Fairy Tale stories with many different takes on those stories. There is over 850 pages of steamy, intriguing, modern day romantic fun. I enjoyed the novella type romances because I could read the short type romances and move on without getting into a long read. There are so many different types of genres to choose from for the Fairytale box set that I did like the option when choosing. This is a terrific value set priced at $ 0.99 and I will say my favorites in the box set was the Beauty and the Beast modern day twist. You wont go wrong with this fabulously priced box set of modern day fairytales with twists.
My Rating: 4.0 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

Once Upon a Fairy Tale was a nice collection of novellas. I loved being able to pick one to read when I had a few spare minutes.

It took longer to read than most other books, and for the most part, I LOVED this compilation! There was something for everyone. Really. There was a sci-fi Rapunzel, several fairy godmothers, a fairy godfather, a few different takes on Cinderella, some battle and gore, and some modern twists on fairy tales from other lands. I had a few stand out favorites, and here they are, in this order: Loving a Fairy Godmother, Love After Midnight, Firebird Sweet, After the Stroke of Midnight, Kiss That Frog, A Happily Ever After of Her Own and Runespell. These were the ones that have inspired me to actively seek out more work from those authors. (Girls interested in regenerating or sparking some romance of their own may want to read this anthology.) Overall, this was a very cool book—definitely out of the ordinary!
