I was a bit cautious of this one, as I didn’t think I would like Roni based on how she came across in book 3. But I was pleasantly surprised. The more we got to know her you see there is a world of insecurities propping up her tough girl, prickly demeanour.
Marcus comes across as very easy going and ready for a laugh (not as much as Dominic, but no-one can be like DOMINIC!)
The story was packed with action and was often very dark, and some of the subject matter hard to read, thankfully Wright’s humour comes in at just the right moments. We get plenty of banter between the characters to help alleviate the situation.
Though this is not my favourite in the series, I still really enjoyed it, Suzanne Wright writes the best Werewolf romances! If you want steamy, engaging characters and complex storylines, I would highly recommend this series!
I liked Roni and Marcus' story. They were funny in a lot of ways, because Roni is a fighter and just as intense as Marcus. Though she's very different from the women he's liked in the past, she fits him so well.
I do think that for a fighting machine that Roni was, she gut hurt a little too easily, but I get it in some ways.
I like this series and will continue to read on.

What more is there that I can say about this amazing author? Every time, she finds a way to entertain me in a spectacular fashion. I really don't know how she does it. She follows her own formula and yet it's never tiring or boring and always manages to keep me interested and invested in all her books. I think I've read everything she has ever written and I find myself always re-reading her books several times over the years.
As for this book Marcus and Roxi make a fantastic couple. Especially because you don't see it coming. From previous books it seemed like they were mismatched but over the course of the book you see how perfect for each other they really are.
And as always the bonds of the pack and their appearances throughout the book make it that much more intriguing to read. I cannot recommend this author more! If you have not read her yet, you are seriously missing out!

The narration was yet again rather heavy-handed and clumsy, the descriptions too abundant and quite banal, the heroine one more sounded like a bratty teenager, the "suspense" didn't really convince me, and in the second half of the second chapter there were so many characters thrown in, I couldn't keep up with who was who and why they were all there.
I simply wasn't invested, and got bored.
