I took a nutrition course once upon a time and the recommended daily amount for sugar was no more than 24-25g/day for women (no more than 36g for men). This recommendation has not changed, but the amount of sugar consumed by the general U.S. population is still vastly above this, so I love that this cookbook exists! Spices are a great way to go as far as not sacrificing taste while still having something healthier.

A beautiful book full of accessible exquisite recipes- pictures are inviting and enticing . I’ve already attempted the cinnamon hazelnut and date buns which were a success. The author writes with warmth and enthusiasm and this adds to the enjoyment of the book. The recipes are good for the novice and more experienced baker.
