This series reminds me a little of Kristen Callihan's Darkest London series, and fans of that series would most likely enjoy this book. There's magic, alchemy, steampunk contraptions, werewolves, and even some scary creatures created by a mad scientist in Bedlam! How could you go wrong with that

It has everything I like about the genre. Fabulous start to a series

The Shadow Revolution is a great start to a trilogy, and has some rather interesting characters. I love the diversity of characters and abilities, as well as the various and dynamic relations between characters. Clay and Susan Griffith have created a wonderful world.
