Absolutely loved the cover of this story and loved the short collection of stories even more. I would recommend
Loved this collection of short stories and will be getting a physical copy to on my shelf. Not your usual LGBTQ+ literature. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to expand their literary horizons.
This is such an important collection and well worth promoting. There aren't enough stories that center black, queer women's stories. Blue Talk and Love does just that with sensitivity, clarity and emotion. Hearing the voices of each speaker personalizes the painful, complex experiences of the women in the collection. I could see this being used in a creative writing class designed to teach students to write their truth through the personal essay or memoir. 5 out of 5 stars. Ebook provided by Net Galley
This book of short stories will surprise you . The topics range from every day life to discovering one's true self. This is not a book of just LGBTQ stories, this is a book about life on the proper side of the tracks down to the places where some would not care to live. Though the latter is a treasure trove of wisdom and acceptance, I enjoyed each of the stories, some shorter than others. Read it, share it and hopefully the author will write more.
