I think it is impossible for Preston and Child to write a book that I do not love. There is something about their wring style (or process) that draws you into the stores and does not let you go until the end. With this new series Preston and Child break away from their familiar protagonist, Agent Pendergast. With time I may come to love Gideon Crew as much - but I am not quite to that level yet. That doesn't mean you will not like him, just that he has some seriously big shoes to fill. This book, like the other books by this duo, stretches believability oin a fun way. Give it a try!

The first novel in a new action/thriller series from bestsellers Preston & Child.
GIDEON'S SWORD introduces us to Gideon Crew, a master thief, and his band of fellow thieves. In this first novel, Gideon learns the truth of his father - accused of treason, and gunned down in front of his son. He sets out to get vengeance on those who framed his father.

In typical Preston & Child style, this is a fast-paced, thrilling action adventure. Good writing, excellent pacing, and engaging characters. Recommended for all fans of the authors' work, and also a good place to start for newcomers.
