Daughter of Dusk by Livia Blackburne is a thrilling continuation of Kyra’s journey, blending action, magic, and self-discovery. As tensions rise, Kyra faces difficult choices about loyalty and identity, with new challenges that test her courage and heart. Perfect for fans of high-stakes fantasy with complex character growth and romance.

I love the opening to this book. “The snow was a problem, the way it crunched beneath Kyra’s shoes and bore marks of her passing.” The prose used throughout this book is lovely.

A strong second entry by this author in the series. I would recommend this book if you enjoyed the first and it should definitely be added to your library.

I ended up DNFing this book after a few chapters because I was struggling to get into it. I just wasn't connecting to the story and eventually lost interest. I was hoping for this to be an amazing sequel but I didn't get very far in the book. Sadly, it just wasn't the book for me.

Been going through my old netgalley requests and seeing what I have forgotten to give a review to and what I still need to read. I don't recall requesting this book or why. I haven't read the first book in the series and reading the synopsis present me doesn't have the same interest in this title as past me did.

I unfortunately was not able to read this book. I was excited when ever I had chosen to download or pick this book up on Netgalley. However, time moves by so quickly and I never got to read it.

I did not finish this book, and will not be writing an official review. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

I am/was a huge fan of Midnight Thief. Blackburne's words lured me into this world, and I couldn't get enough. Daughter of Dusk is a great follow up into the world that she created. DoD is action packed, and I was invested since page one.

There are natural progressions in DoD that I enjoyed. The momentum of the storyline is to par with the pacing, and it has kept me engaged throughout the story. The characters have grown since the first book, and Kyra and Tristam are so interesting to get to know further.

This story is involved, bring together so many details to put together an epic second book. It's thrilling, action-packed, and filled with that subtle touch of romance. I enjoyed every moment of it!

Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book as I was unable to get into the story. I can, however, see how other readers would be interested and I am sorry I am not the one for this book.
