Hope Harbor is the first book in the Hope Harbor series and the second book I've read in the series. I kind of read the 7th one Blackberry Beach first. Though I read it out of order I only ended up with slight spoilers for the first and third book in the series. However it didn't spoil to story itself just that I knew couples would end up together. But technically with romance that's not really too big of spoiler. While I enjoyed Michael and Tracy's story and romance. It was the secondary character Ann Williams and her story that kept me listening. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it.

The book is too religious for my liking, so I did not finish it. I did not post a rating on any sites, as I did not finish it. Thank you for the opportunity.
3.5 stars.
Hannon steps away from her mystery writing to pen this gorgeously rendered romance. The relationship development between Tracy and Michael is natural and heartwarming. The secondary characters add to the story, and the spectacular setting will have readers excited to book their own trips to the Oregon coast.
Michael Hunter leaves Chicago for an extended visit in Hope Harbor, Ore. He wants to take time to deal with some deep losses. He literally runs into Tracy Campbell, a cranberry farmer with a few secrets of her own. Although they get off to a rocky start, as Michael and Tracy spend more time together, romance begins to blossom. Can they get past the walls of hurt built over the years and learn to trust each other?
A place of healing and peace. The time the hurts old and new can be solved. Don't we all long for something like that?
Feel-good novel - in the literal meaning.
I would not call this a deep novel or a complicated psychological drama of a human soul - this novel is not that. But it is not cozy, simple book neither. It is like a refuge - to offer you a moment or two in the busy, hurting life to stop, sample a fish taco or cranberry nut cake and let your soul rest and your heart heal.
Love can find you at that place. Love in its many forms.
Young man and woman can both let go of the past guilt. Older woman can open her heart. Young girl can cope with the unplanned pregnancy. There is solution and healing here, and a new start.
And while I myself love complicated psychological dramas and raw emotions, I also long for peace. So if you need a place like this, to get some rest and gentle inspiration to trust, forgive and let God, this might be the place.
