Release Me is the second book in the Chasing Fire trilogy. The reader does need to read the books in order or you will be lost. I enjoyed Alessandra and Hudson's continuation of their story until the abrupt ending. The story flowed well and then the reader is left with another cliffhanger. While I enjoyed Release Me I'm not sure I am engaged enough in the story line to continue to the final book.

If you haven’t read book one yet, stop and go read it because Release Me picks up where Remind Me leaves off. I’m serious here people, go read Remind Me, not only does it introduce the storyline and characters, it is a really good book. Plus since this is a trilogy you kind of have to read all the books to get the full picture, or story to be more appropriate.

I am going to try to keep this on the shorter side so I don’t give any spoilers away, or to many hints as to what happens in this one. So I will pretty much just say the following. Release Me is hot if not hotter than Remind Me was, there is angst, drama, super hot sex, it will keep you wanting to know the answers to questions left unanswered, and will make you yell, cry or scream out in frustration only to keep on reading. And yes there is a cliff hanger, hello this is a trilogy people, of course there will be one. These two authors have the formula down to keep their readers wanting more and I want more!

Release Me is the continuing story of Hudson and Allie a second chance story that keeps giving us twists and turns until you can’t see straight. They have the chemistry that set the pages on fire in the first book. However as we now continue where the first book left off on the cliffhanger they are forced to work together to move on.

Allie isn’t the same woman we saw in the first book. She has taken control of her life, no longer forced to confirm the image her family wanted or feel obligated. She is free what she wants to do but it has come at cost. She may of gotten ride of Julian to be with Hudson. However Hudson has been the man she wanted. Now she going only Harper her best friend by her side as she deals with things

A cost that she is still coming to terms with and means that she has to work with Hudson. The one man she loved who took that love and destroyed her. The same man who was once a boy who sh filled in love with and had a connection that stood the test of times.

They aren’t the rich girl and the boy from the right side of the tacks anymore. They are on an equal playing field now and Hudson is determined to get her back and show that the connection is still there despite everything.

Hudson rose against the grain and made it . However he been tested one too many times. So when opportunity lands in his lap. He determined to show that there still something despite everything. However there still the secrecy and the past he wants to forgot and not share. However the nightmares are getting worse and whilst his interacts and his brother off some relief to his needs. He wants Allie forever but at what cost?

The honeymoon is definitely over in the second of the trilogy. The aftermath of the revelations in the first book have definitely had an impact and now we see them trying to move on and face the music of the decisions they made and the things that were out of their control. Allie may have different tune about Hudson but Release Me lived up its name and more.

The authors made all the motions. We had the romance and passion but e saw different sides to characters we fall in love with in the first book. The second book didn’t disappoint allowing for this uturn so to speak on their relationship. As the end showed how much how they were supposed to be together despite their faults and flaws that lead them to this point. Walker and Roger’s second book didn’t disappoint and will please fans of this couple .
