In this final book in the trilogy, Mimi and family are returning from the countryside to Notting Hill but not to their former house which now belongs to Clare. The neighbourhood is up in arms about the number of massive subterranean extensions going on so Mimi gets involved in some journalistic investigations into these "iceberg houses" and falls in lust with an eccentric female performance artist. Meanwhile, Clare is hoping to add to her family and wants Mimi's husband, Ralph, to be the sperm donor again.
While cleverly satirical in parts, the plot has too many implausible moments and too many of the characters evolve from unlikeable to horrible.

Johnson captures the modern family/London life vibes so perfectly. You can so easily see this playing out in real life - a highly enjoyable read
