Excellent read! Sophie and Quint are likable and their romance is enjoyable. Steamy! And also entertaining to read, with events that push the story along. This makes me want to read the others in the series.

Sophia is interested in the rights of the poverty stricken, those who have hard lives and she investigates their needs dressed as a male. She’s a very strong character and is looking into a murder and also going undercover in brothels to protect the women.
Although I hadn’t read the other books in this series I did enjoy the final book. I do love a good historical romance.
It’s a great era for a historical book and you get swept up in the time and the characters. Very steamy romantic scenes keep the pages turning. It’s made me keen to read more by this author.

What I loved most abut this novel was the ending. Which, I wont discuss, but to say that it feels very realistic. This is a great love-conquers-all story that will have you falling in love with Sophie's stubbornness and Damien's frialty. But above all you'll be moved by their inner strength, which brings them together.

My only piece of criticism is that I would have liked to have been in on the conversation that Sopie aparently had with her father, in which she told him about Sir Stephen.

Other than that it's an absolutly absorbing read!
