Not what I wanted out of a horror novel. There was too much going on and Edmund was not memorable enough for me to have any real interest.

This sadly was not what i expected this book to be. I expected a lot of horror, lots of shocking and horrendous moments that would leave me scared and questioning a few things.

I personally didn't find that at all.
Its one of those books that i felt as if the author tried to do too many things in one book.

its a very wordy and descriptive book. Which in itself is nothing bad and i actually enjoy a lot in literary fiction normally. BUT this book was pushed on me as a horror read. And i am sorry but i don't need to stop and get a description of every little detail if i want to get a horror book.

So sadly this book was not for me, but i am sure that there is a perfect audience/readership out there!
