I tried and set this book down a while ago. It is not due to the author's writing - she's got good writing - but I am not jelling with the overall story. I'm not sure what it is. It has a lot of elements I like. There's strong characters and good dynamics. I feel like the PTSD is addressed in a manor that is not simply making it a plot point. Yet, there's something I cannot put my finger on that makes this book not for me. I wish I could say what it is but, sometimes, a book comes along and, despite loving characters and premise, it's just not for you. It's why I am not marking the book lower. The book did nothing wrong. It's more the reader who cannot figure out why the book is simply not for her.
