A handsome cowboy with eyes that sparkle, a young woman who has been left in charge of the family ranch after her father died and her brother moved away. Maria is also saddled with her mother who has not adjusted well to her father’s death. Then there is the large Tipton Ranch, which is buying up as many smaller spreads as it can, either through legitimate offers or intimidation. This is a good story of slowly developing love and just enough suspense to make it interesting. A good beginning to a new series.
