This is another book, that is worth the time to read, but can really make you put it down until you can get through the section that is a must but isn't as catching as the rest of the story. I did enjoy this book, plus looked for additional books created by the writers.
Not all books will pull you in & hold you until you finish reading ... if they were all like that, we would never get anything done. This book had an amazing story, it was a good read. A nice slow read for the days when you are too busy to finish in one setting.
I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. The chapters seemed way too long and there was a lot of build up for very little pay out.
I didn’t enjoy this book at all. I got half way through and couldn’t go on. I didn’t understand anything.
Good day! Before anything else, I would like to extend my deepest, sincerest gratitude for sending me a digital review copy of this book (via NetGalley). Thank you very much for the opportunity!
Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.
I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Again, thank you for the lovely opportunity!
I loved how this book did not waste any time getting into the juicy tidbits of how the devil...and his daughter work. Lucinda is the daughter of Lucifer and has an important job...to match cursed objects in her pawn shop, to poor unknowing souls. While this book is not quite original, it has many unique points in its plot that makes it a one-of-a-kind read. There were some unanswered questions I had at the end of this book that I felt could've been addressed without giving away the suspensefulness of book two. However, I do appreciate that Devil's Daughter left it the way it did so that the intrigue carries on.
I am looking forward to reading more from these authors and hope I won't have to wait too long. I highly recommend this book to those who aren't afraid of a little devilish fun.
