Savannah Delcarta wakes from a coma after 2 months in a hospital, surrounded by her four sisters. After surviving a life-threatening aneurysm surgery, she begins to experience a heightened sense of "sight" and can sense a terrifying event before it happens. Although she and her sisters have never believed in the paranormal, they quickly discover that when they join hands, they each possess a higher level of one of the five senses.
This story focuses on Savannah and her sense of sight. I loved it so much, I purchased the rest of the series to see the future of all the Delcarta Sisters.

Her sisters also gain abilities. They think it is elated to delta waves. The moved to get a new start. They meet Riley, a teenage boy who lives across the street and Mr. Jenkins, a teacher at school lives next door. There is an arsonist and now with their abilities, they can see the events that are about to happen.
The book has a steady to slow pace, the characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. There is a mystery, but it is mostly a literary drama.
I am sorry to say that I did not finish this book. I read about 40 percent before putting it down. I just did not connect witht the characters and felt like nothing really was happening in the book.
It might have been a book that I would have enjoyed much more if I had still been a teenager but as an adult I just did not enjoy it that much.
Savannah has spent 2 months in a coma and when she wakes up in the hospital, surrounded by her four sisters, something weird happens - they all have paranormal powers!
"It was like we were one body, needing each other to fully comprehend what was going on. I was the eyes, Serena the ears, Sasha the nose, Tamara the tongue, and Talia the hands. Bizarre!"
They start trying to call up visions by holding hands and eventually see, hear, smell, taste and feel what appears to be someone starting a fire, and since there is an arsonist at work in their town, there's a pretty good chance this is his work. Unfortunately, they don't get enough information from the vision to stop the fire from happening. Will they be able to figure it out in time to stop the next fire?
This was a very quick read because it's only 218 pages long, and the pace keeps it moving along nicely. You get a lot of info on each of the girls, too, so there's great character development.
All in all, I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to continuing with the other books in the series.
4/5 stars.
