What’s better than a contemporary? A contemporary that has some grit and mystery. An enjoyable read that I didn’t want to put down.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. After reading the synopsis, I thought it was about a girl with a broken past. We got all that and so much more as we read about the Russian human trafficking ring. What comes across as a simple romance about overcoming your past quickly turns a bit on the heavy side.

This book was a tad too slow for me. There was hardly any tension between the leads and I would have liked that, especially when there were no sexy times. I also want to add that this book ends with a cliffhanger. Hopefully, we will get the answers and more on the attraction in book 2.

This book was gripping and had me on the edge of my seat. So so good. I look forward to reading more from this author. Thanks Netgalley for the Arc
