Having recently finished the previously published ‘The Baking Life of Amelie Day’ by Vanessa Curtis, I am happy to have had the chance to read the Advanced Reader’s Edition e-copy; thank you NetGalley and Capstone Young Readers!

This book was filled with the heart of a talented and creative baker and the lungs of a girl struggling with Cystic Fibrosis. The constant search for new recipes filled Amelie’s soul with sweetness and her body with the calories that she needed to stay healthy as she battled this chronic disease. Learning about the complications of CF throughout this story, was an entertaining and also heart-breaking way to become informed about a condition that is challenging for so many.
