I liked it. These types of mangas interest me. Although I did not download it, I did read a physical copy. The only drawback for me is the format. It can be a bit jarring switching from a regular book to manga.
This was very fun and made reading about a classic much more engaging. I would really recommend these to younger people who may be in school to better understand what is happening in these older classics.
Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book. I love the manga aspect of this story. The illustrations are beautiful and I never get tired of reading this story. I need this book in a physical format.
One of my favorite books in a beautiful manga format. My soul is giddy. It was interesting seeing a a long classic in such a form, but I firmly believe that it will be great for reluctant readers. I plan to share copies with my students.
This was such an interesting idea! I always have problems reading classics but as I adore manga I thought I'd give this a try. The story was pretty similar to the original but it got to the point as manga tends to do and it didn't get boring like normal classics. I would love to read more of these in the future
I enjoyed this for what it was, I'm not the biggest pride and prejudice fan of the book but that's probably because my mom played the movie and the BBC adaptions so I knew it from them instead by reading it. So by the time I got around to reading it, it was too late. I appreciate this a lot though.
This is a great way to get people interested in a great Classic that they might not otherwise consume.
As a massive Pride and Prejudice fan, I enjoyed this manga but definitely prefer the original book. Thanks for allowing me the chance to check out this book!
A wonderful adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in a way that readers who don't enjoy classic will actually like. It was like revisiting an old friend in a different way.
amazing drawings! It's an easy read and very similar to the book and how I imagined things to look like
This was a quick, fun read of my absolute favourite classic book. While notably simplified to fit the medium of manga and the young demographic it was aimed at, I still really enjoyed it and found myself laughing at some of the antics the characters got up to. I also enjoyed the lovely artwork that accompanied the tale.
This was a cute and quick read. I've always loved this story and I really liked how it was translated into a manga. It was pretty accurate even without all the details of the book (of course) and the drawings were very pretty.
I loved the images in this book! It would be a great way to introduce students to the story.
Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite books of all time. I also enjoy reading mangas so I had a wonderful time reading this Pride and Prejudice manga. The illustrations were pretty and the dialogues were easy to follow.
I am enchanted with this gorgeous manga! The classic novel by Jane Austen was done much justice by this manga format! The elegance, emotion & exquisite balance of human nature and the beautiful story of Elizabeth Bennet & Mr. Darcy is all there. Two of the most beloved characters in classic literature. I was intrigued with how well this would follow the novel and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth the artist & author captured everything so well! You will not be disappointed when you read this manga! I definitely wasn't. This is a beautiful manga to own as well as to introduce young ladies to the hauntingly beautiful and heartfelt story of Pride and Prejudice.
This book was given to me by NetGalley and Udon Entertainment in exchange for a fair and honest review!
I've seen a lot of bits and images of manga adaptations of all sorts of things all over the 'net. I'm not a fan; I can see beauty in some of the imagery, but I don't much like the monstrous eyes and tiny noses and rampant sexuality, especially when superimposed on something I know and love. (I'm curious – is cultural appropriation only to be reviled when it's done by white Americans?)
The artwork here does indeed feature the alien-child huge eyes, and the remarkably pretty men, and I can't say I enjoy it in context. But the skill and talent of the artists is obvious – on the very first page, Longbourn is beautifully rendered.
I didn't get all the way through this before my access to the book through Netgalley expired, and to be honest I'm fine with that. I get it; it's not hideous; I have to approve of anything which will bring Jane Austen under the eyes of people who might not otherwise have read her. I'm glad I saw it. But I think I'll stick to the original for now.

2.5/5 stars(since this version did make it a bit more fun to read)
This was a bad choice of graphic novels as I am not a huge Pride and Prejudice fan. I disliked it the first time I read it and this time was no different. Other than the story part of it, which is just a bore to read with a few tiny giggles in between due to added humor, I enjoyed the illustrations and the different style of writing this book was written in.
Of course, if you are a Pride and Prejudice fan, pick this up as you will most likely enjoy the different illustrations and such; however, if you are as much as a Grinch as me when it comes to P&P, don't pick this edition up, hoping that you will like it one day and understand the hype about the prideful Mr. Darcy and the prejudiced Elizabeth Bennet's love story.
I just love the art style of this graphic novel and it was a good, quick read. Having read the original story there are things that are obviously different, not everything can all fit into one graphic novel really but I really enjoyed this one.
Received via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Its so exciting to see classics in a new format! Combining my love of classics and manga! Beautifully illustrated!
I liked it a lot it was fun and I like how it has a anime twist to it . This is perfect for Anime fans and of P&p
Love this adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Until recently my favorite book from Jane Austen was "Sense and Sensibility " however a friend Pushed me into reading "Pride and Prejudice" and like they say, the rest is history. I have been reading everything I can that relates to this book, so when I got your book I was really excited and needless to say I was not disappointed. Love the story, how the characters are portrayed, and how it helps with visualizing characters. Love it!
