I love mystery books and this was a great book. I read the whole series after reading the first book. Great plot good characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It had just the right amount of mystery and romance. I do enjoy anything by Mary Ellis.

This is fantastic witty Christian mystery! The authoress is smart and funny, the characters are engaging (hooray for hunky Catholic hero!) and the overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, making me giving an eye to my credit card in a want to buy my plane ticket to charming Louisiana.

I want to especially recommend this authoress´wit and the way with words. Being a picky reader, I truly enjoyed how she can create the smart bonmots and sharp conversations and observations. One of the best amongst the witty Christian authors!

The mystery of who killed the best friend James and Nicki´s father are a bit underplayed compared to romance, but as the romance is truly engaging, I am not here to complain!
Of course, the novel should use some polishing - some "bad rich girl, good poor girl" attitudes are tad clichey.

But having said all that - I really enjoyed all and every page of this book, and this is coming from a bookworm. Truly the best recommendation I can give in the genre.
