I read the second book in this series a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to get a chance to read this book. Unfortunately, this just didn't do it for me; I didn't care for how Amara didn't stand up for herself in regards to her parents. There's a way you can be assertive and stand on your own two feet without losing the love of your family.

Wow, I couldn’t put this one down! I already read this book before and it totally kept me pulled into the story a second time. Just love the characters! They definitely make the book in my opinion and in my opinion this is another great start to a series and totally worth reading again and again.

I tried... but just couldn't finish this one. It was slow and I found Amara to be incredibly annoying. I understand her devotion to her family, but at some point she needs to stand up to them.

This is the first time that i have read this author and she has a good writing style, the story was good, but nothing exciting.

Amara lives at home with her parents after being called back to help her parents failing bakery, not that they are letting her make changes to save it though. Eric is a former bad boy with a reputation who is trying to change his life around.

Both hold things back from the other making the relationship stall a bit before they can have their HEA, and Amara's family certainly don't help. Both characters could have been more proactive if they were not stuck in the past.

This was okay for me. The writing itself wasn't bad, and flowed well for the most part. This read more as a YA novel than a contemporary romance. Amara was very much ruled by her parents, and still lived at home, despite being 26. Eric seemed like a good guy, he was trying to overcome his past. Amara wanted to keep their relationship hidden so her parents didn't find out, and Eric went along with it. For as many times as Amara said that she could make her own decisions, when it came down to making the biggest one, she tried to put it off on Eric. She told him not to put the decision on her, but wasn't that what she had been demanding from the start? It was frustrating that he was made to put himself out there time and again, when she was the one who turned him down. The ending was good, but it just felt like too little too late.
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

When Amara sees her brother's former best friend, the guy she had a crush on when she was young, she's taken aback by the hot kiss they share. But when Eric finds out who she is, the little sister of his former best friend, he backs off. Eric is back in town, forced by his situation, and to make up for some of the bad decisions he made when he was younger. Can he ever redeem himself in Amara's eyes, in his family's eyes, in the town's eyes?

I wanted to like Delicious Temptation, unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The connection between Amara and Eric didn't feel strong, except in the bedroom, and that's not enough to sustain a relationship. Not to mention that though they were in their late 20s, they acted more like they were in their early 20s. I just did not find myself connection to or liking either character, especially Amara. She was absolutely ridiculous. Really, there wasn't a lot to like about Delicious Temptation other than the yummy treats baked up in Amara's bakery. So not a delicious temptation, but a rather boring, flat piece of flatbread perhaps.

A really great hot and steamy romance!!!! I mean this book was awesome! The main characters Amara and Eric are so cute! And I really enjoyed the build up of the secondary characters to set up the next books. It was a nice quick read!!! I can’t wait to read the next book!!!

A sexy story of redemption and perseverance. Sticking it out when times get tough and everyone around you tells you you cannot achieve your goals takes an awesome amount of courage and strength. Amara and Eric had that in spades and were lucky enough to also have each other to lean on. It is an all around great happy ending story.

Oh my God, I've never not liked a character's parents more than I have in this book. She just let them walk all over her and it was so frustrating because it took so much of the focus off of the two main characters and building a relationship.
