The majority of the book is spent on the world building of Eriis and Mistra which makes for some slow reading and I am would almost bet that is why some readers have DNF this book or maybe it’s the way the time frame jumped around; either way I think they made a mistake. The world building is so good that this is one book I really wish that all the books in the series were available to read back to back. Since I read well over 100 books a year it can be difficult to remember all the nuances of the worlds and characters authors create when you have to wait to read the next book in the series. This is definitely a case where the world-building is so good that I would want to remember the details as well as I do as I now as I wait for the second book to download so I can read it.

4.5/5 STARS: **I want to thank the author and/or publisher for providing me with a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review; all opinions are mine.**
