Books where the main character has a childhood crush on their older sibling's best friend/the best friend has a crush on the younger sibling are often some of my favorites. Forwards Pass checked this box, though it was a bit predictable. Shay has a crush on her brother's best friend, Joe, who shot to fame as a quarterback for a professional football team. Having a reputation as a womanizer, Shay makes it a point to shut down virtually all conversations with Joe by making snide remarks. Joe has been working to clean up his act and simmer down on his wild exploits, but Shay will hear nothing of it. There is clearly an attraction between them, but Shay is a bit much. Overall, I enjoyed it.
3.5 (rounded to 4) out of 5 stars.
New jobs, old loves. Shay has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was the tag along little sister. When they find themselves sharing her brother's house it's time to fess up to old feelings. A sweet love story but a little bit trite.
