This is the 3rd book in the series, but thankfully you don't have to have read the 2 previous books to understand this one. I do love that about a book series. Just enough background from the other books but this one can stand alone.
Egyptian mythology is perhaps my favorite, followed closely by Greek so I gobbled this book up like s hungry man coming off a fast. Very descriptive prose, but not info dumping or speaking down to us like we are stupid. I find sometimes YA and middle grade books talk down to their readers but this book was a delight.
I plan on going back and starting at the beginning and continuing on with this series. This was a great start!
