I won this copy through a publisher sponsored giveaway on a blog nearly 4 years ago. As having now finally read it, I can report that it was a delightful second chance story with likable characters and an uncomplicated storyline. I would recommend this to someone looking for a lighter read.
Jessie and Jordy have been best friends since they were eight years old, when Jessie and her two younger sisters moved to live with their grandmother after their mother passed away.
Around the time they are eighteen years old, they are both in love with each other, but dating other people.
But with teenage mistakes and misunderstandings, they spend six years apart. Until Jessie's grandmother passes and Jordy returns to their hometown for the funeral. Jordy is now a famous and infamous hockey player and Jessie is almost at the end of her internship to be a physical therapist.
Their meeting, sparks a conversation about the past and what really happened from each others perspective.
This is a second chance romance and my first Victoria Denault book. I liked, though I thought the storyline was a little simplistic. There were some cute moments and I would read more, especially in this series and I'm curious about Luc and Rose, and Devin and Callie..
