I am in love with Witness to Passion. I'm a HUGE fan of Naima Simone's contemporary romance. Witness to Passion is a romantic suspense and a different read for Naima. But it had everything that I look for in a book from her. This was a really fun read. I definitely have to read the second book in this series.

Ahhhh this was just such a great book. I just was entranced by this story and these characters. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
For Fallon Wayland, birthdays are just another sucky day. This year is no different. She is fired, dumped and witnesses the death of a mafia LT. Now Shane is stuck protecting his sisters BFF because of what she witnessed. Things heat up as they are holed up in the safe house. They try to make it work and not die.
It was a good story. I loved the heat and the banter. It kept me intrigued until the end.
Witness to Passion is my first read by this author. The book is steamy, romantic and suspenseful. I will be reading more from this author in the future!
This was a fun action packed story with a few twists that just flowed well. I'm excited to look for more from this author in the future.
I read this as a break/palate cleanser between books in an epic fantasy series and it was just what I was looking for. Quick and fun and predictable, with just the right amount of angst and steam, I knew that Naima Simone wouldn’t let me down. I’m a sucker for second chance romance, brother’s best friend, and forced proximity tropes, so reading this one was honestly a no-brainer. Although I do wish it had been a bit longer so we could have had more tension and build up to the romance!
Thank you to Entangled Ignite and NetGalley for providing me with a review copy in exchange for my honest review.
I read anything by Naima Simone. However, I did not realize that this was a reprint of one of her older backlist books. It was published in 2015! I feel like that defeats the purpose of an ARC. The formatting on my kindle made it unreadable. I will update this review later because I am currently reading it from my library. This one is definitely on me.
*Update. In classic Naima Simone fashion, this book brought the heat and intrigue to this suspenseful romance. I did not really like any of the characters, but it was an enjoyable read.
What a truly entertaining story. Naima Simone has a great cast of characters and a romance at the heart of the book. Great
A fine example of the author's earlier career. Steamy and delicious. Wish I would have realized this was a re=issue though!
I am a big fan of Romance books and I found this one to be a very enjoyable read. I will be looking for more books from this author.
DNF @ 6%. He (not hero) breaks up with her via Twitter, which is awful, yes, but then she (the heroine) makes a joke about his size and posts a private picture of him to Twitter. That is revenge porn.

I have read a few books by Naima Simone. Her writing style can be relied on to be engaging. Her characters and plot are well thought out. This book is a best friend's brother suspense romance with some gang activity to tie it all together.
Fallon witnesses a gang related murder on her way to work, and is forced to accept help from her best friend's brother, Shane. Shane and Fallon have some history, which has caused some distance over the years. Through a series of threats, the two are forced in closer proximity and fall in love, get the baddies and HEA.
It's a short but easy, fun read. Side characters are well developed with lengthy backstories. I'm not sure if this book exists in another NS universe/series, but it was fine to read as a standalone. I would recommend.

The first scene really grabbed my interest but it skipped to three months later and we didn't get to see any of the aftermath or see Shane's reaction when he eventually finds out about it. I would have liked more of a connection between the two main characters other than in the bedroom. I didn't really see what Shane's problem was regarding Fallon and why he held back for so many years. She just came across as desperate, throwing herself at him at every opportunity. Also he didn't check her car for a bomb which I thought would have been one of the first things to do considering his experience.
The action and suspense was great and I enjoyed the dramatic conclusion. An entertaining read.
This was a super quick read, not very long at all. Not sure how it was categorized as a thriller though, more like a romance. It was super hot though! It was the normal girl & guy “hate each other” because they actually “love each other” but can’t admit it. & of course lots & lots of sexual tension. This was an ok read for me
An enjoyable suspense romance, This book has enough of both to keep the reader entertained right through to the HEA
an enjoyable take on the sisters best friend trope, an added thrill of a murder, witness protection and a slightly damaged hero bring much more to enhance this story
I loved how wild Fallon was, her loyalty to Addy and how she bounced back from all that life threw at her, even when Shane didn’t recognise that at all and considered her a spoilt reckless annoyance.
Shane was so linear in his thinking of what he needed in life and what his goals were so the chaos Fallon brought to challenge that was fun to read and they did set the pages on fire too!
Enjoyable and hoping we get to read about the other GDG team members
I wanted to love this book because I love Naima Simone. Unfortunately, this story was not my favorite. Fallon has lots of scars from her childhood and is trying to stand on her own rather than be a trust fund baby. Unfortunately, she witnesses a hit and some very bad men are trying to shut her up permanently. Enter her best friends brother who she has wanted since she was old enough to want a guy. The plot of the story was good, I just had trouble with how Fallon kept throwing herself at Shane. Shane also had a lot of trauma. Anyways, I wish they had both gone to therapy before anything else, because no miraculous epiphany is going to change the habits they have had for years.
Someone didn't tell Fallon she was born under an unlucky star, but she has received the message loud and clear. At least that is what she believes, her birthdays have become a perpetual source of discontent. Holding true to form, her day goes from bad to horrendous when she witnesses a murder and is threatened by the killer. Shane Roarke is determined to keep his sister's best friend safe at all costs. The history between the two is rife with intensity, emotion, drama and angst. Add to the mix a ruthless killer, danger and seething attraction you get an entertaining read.
Fast paced and steamy action. When Fallon is the only witness to a gang hit and is now on the hit list herself her best friends brother, Shane is going to protect her at all cost. Can they stay alive long enough to see where feeling have been pushed down for years.? This story has some great action.
Non-stop action and explosive chemistry!
This exciting story combines several of my favorite tropes - ex-military, bodyguard, best friend's older brother - into a thrilling suspense story filled with every conceivable kind of action along with a surprising betrayal twist and enough steam to peel wallpaper.
Fallon is lying low after refusing witness protection, just waiting for the trial and rebuilding her life. Once a leak in the police department is uncovered, however, her best friend calls her older brother - now a security specialist - and asks him to step in to protect Fallon. Shane is determined to do whatever it takes - whatever it costs - to keep Fallon safe, and that includes keeping his hands off her despite the sizzling chemistry that has always been between them.
Fallon is a delightful character, strong when she needs to be with an endearing layer of vulnerability. She doesn't want to want Shane, but she's brave enough to face the facts and she's not the least bit intimidated by his frosty demeanor around her.
Make yourself comfortable before you start this book, because the action is fast and furious and never lets up until the final bullet is fired. I read this in one sitting and loved every bit of it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
3 stars
This was sexy and fun.
Both main characters were likable and their chemistry was great my only problem is that... they sounded very immature sometimes which put me off the story.
Still this was a good sexy and very entertaining read.
