Witness to Passion is book one in the Guarding Her Body series by Naima Simone. This book is a re-release but none of the content or pop culture references appear dated. Ms. Simone always gives us interesting characters with depth and complexity. Fallon Wayland happens to be in the wrong place at totally the wrong time. It is her birthday and according to her all her birthdays are less than stellar. For example, on her 18th birthday she took a chance and kissed her best friend’s brother, Shane Roarke. After a moment where it seemed like he reciprocated, Shane rejected her. Now on her 25th birthday, she is witness to a gang related murder. Could this day get any worse? Yes!! The murderer warns her about going to the police. When Shane is made privy to her dilemma, he is livid. He can not understand why she did not turn to him for protection. This book is a fast paced, action filled fight for survival. Shane makes it his business to ensure that Fallon comes through this situation unscathed. In order to do so he must keep her close. The only question is will he be able to keep her safe and resist his long held feelings for her?

OMG these too!!! I couldn’t stop reading. So perfect, so engaging! These are great, deep characters. Strong, interesting ones…The chemistry between them is off the chart, but there’s also an emotional bond between them too. And the sex! SIGH.
The book is well written, easy to read and most enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Sexy and HOT, you can't help but love this book. Fallon has crushed on her best friend's brother (Shane) for years. Her one big move was met with rejection on her birthday, thus continuing her long line of birthday disappointments. She pulls up her big girl panties and sets her sights on her career....then that is also destroyed on her birthday.

When her life is threatened, Shane whisks her away to a safe house, only to realize that he is unable to resist Fallon. Before long they are enjoying their time alone, even as a killer hunts them. Their relationship is sexy, hot, and time limited. But then Fallon starts to wonder, what if it wasn't time limited?

If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. The author is a master at her craft and tells a sexy romance that you just can't put down.
