This was an enjoyable read with interesting characters. I did want to shake Effie a few times to bring her to her senses. The story was emotional at times.
Many thanks to Lake Union Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Modern day love story of a woman deciding on the "right" guy with the money, house, background, etc., over the "wrong" guy with the history, charm, caring, and spark. DId she make the right choice?

Love You Better was an easy read over a weekend. The book is entertaining with the comparisons of men and looking at the choices you make, as well as looking in the head of someone in an abusive relationship. What I liked best about the book was the writing style and characters. Effie occasionally got on my nerves with her willingness to put up with how she was treated, but that also made her relate-able. She struggled with looking at superficial things (looks, money) and what people would think, but progressed through the story.
The secondary characters were well written and their stories added to the whole picture rather than detracting or being distracting. This book will have me looking for the next reads by Natalie Martin,

This book is a page turner! It is all about Effie, the one who got away (Smith), and Effie's husband Oliver. This is a story about dark and obsessive love and also domestic violence. It will draw you in as you Effie needs to decide between these two men and if she is strong enough to do what she needs to do for herself? This is a book that I really enjoyed.
