From strictly a literary point, this is a horrible book. Part lusty romance with dreamy and sexy Scot, part (obvious) mystery about what happened to so-called best friend Bridget (whom the main heroine cares that "much" that one letter a year is enough), part a feminist war cry against all the wrong in the world (and quite subjective at that).
But I can not stop the feeling that it was written by a person with hurted heart. There is a lot of pain and mistrust against men and cruel women.
I can not recommend this book. But I respect the humanity point in it.
