What's a girl to do when confronted with saving the world and spending time with handsome hunk Diesel who possesses serious tracking and other 'special' skills? Lizzy, a baker who also has some special talents when it comes to artifacts, joins Diesel in searching for pirate treasure and the Stone of Avarice. They find themselves in tunnels, on mountain tops, and even in the clutches of a crazed billionaire/hopeful demon who also wants the magical stone and treasure. In addition, they have to use their wits against Diesel's cousin, Wulf, who is determined to get the stone before them. Should they make a deal, and can they trust Wulf?
The yearning between Lizzy and Diesel plays well for the characters, but they realize it is more important to keep both their powers and save the world...rather than give in to what could be devastating to one of them.
Cute story with wit and imaginative scenarios

Book 3 in the Lizzy & Diesel series. These books should be read in order, as they are a continuation of one story line.

Oof. Book 1- decent. Too "copy and paste" of the Stephanie Plum books, but decent enough. Book 2- harder to get through. Wicked Charms? Awful. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

When you read Janet Evanovich's work, you don't expect it to be believable. Crazy things happen. They are supposed to be funny. Wicked Charms was too crazy even for her, and NOT funny.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another fun Lizzy and Diesel story. While a fair story it is not my favorite in the series. I still enjoyed it though and would recommend it. Love Carl! At times a few too many characters popping in and out, which slowed me down a bit. Otherwise fun read.
